This looks unofficial but in the corner of B&Q car storage area is one space hashed out and with a blob of tarmac to make a smooth transition.

#Amazeballs the @wfcouncil #WhitneyRdE10 #ModalFilter off of #LeaBridgeRd goes from strength to strength! Gorgeous. Thank you to the volunteer gardeners who tend it and bring us this splendour!

[Image taken 10.5.21] Marygate car park, York. The blue cycle route sign in the background on the right indicates the access to the less steep of the two slopes from/to Scarborough Bridge. The shared space here is just about adequate. Peopl ... [more]

[Image taken 10.5.21] Marygate car park, York. There were NO signs warning people that the route was limited to the one between the rail line and edge of the car park. Many users of this route do not want to put themselves at risk of or inc ... [more]

[Image taken 10.5.21] Marygate car park, York. This cyclist with child trailer is only just able to get through the 107cm gap. On this side, the foot of the fence panel is 25cm wider than the barrier. Further image this rig see: #168696. Al ... [more]

[Image taken 10.5.21] Marygate car park, York. 107cm is only just wider than this cycle with trailer with children inside. The other side of the barriers, there's a pedestrian 'queuing' to get through. I also believe the foot of the barrier ... [more]

Flooding across the West City Way in Kelvingrove Park. Not as deep as the previous time I went through it.

Keep Left pedestrians on the West City Way in Kelvingrove Park. But puddle ahead.

The person seen in #168687 gets frustrated at the lack of green signal on the cycle track and moves into the main carriageway to cross St Vincent Street legally on the Elderslie Street green.

Lack of cycle priority at cycle traffic signals on Elderslie Street. This person was already waiting as I arrived, when traffic on St Vincent Street had the green. See also #168688.

Nonsense bollards.

Traffic-calming with a wide clear cycle bypass - the two to the north are nearer trees and are not so clear.

Two-tier covered cycle parking at Whittlesford Parkway station - Sheffield stands are available elsewhere.

Large new cycle shed at Whittlesford Parkway station - two-tier parking, but there are Sheffield stands elsewhere

End of shared-use route to Whittlesford Parkway station.

Shared-use route to Whittlesford Parkway station.

The north-south cycle route is fairly clear, but there's no indication that this is a shared-use route to Whittlesford Parkway station.

The farm road is even more firmly closed off now - surely it's time to remove the nonsensical Cyclists Dismount signs.

The farm road is even more firmly closed off now - surely it's time to remove the nonsensical Cyclists Dismount signs (and it's odd that there's a right-turn filter lane on the road too).

[Image taken 2.5.21] Rowntree Park, York. These two cycles fit but they are unadapted and unadorned. There are no child seats, panniers, baskets... They are not the norm for a park (see: #168295) or York (see: #165594). You cannot 'roll in' ... [more]

[Image taken 26.4.21] Lidl, James Street, York. This cycle is occupying more space than those shown in illustrations for cycle parking. Perhaps due to the bag on the handlebars. Perhaps due to the quite steep slope here. Another reason for ... [more]

Cycle (and other road) signs. Honest. Includes a new NCN11 sign. See #33033.

The signs from #33032. Could do with being rationalised (a new NCN11 sign has been tacked on the bottom) and the road sign to the station is looking rather tatty. However, they're all useless thanks to the tree that hides them!

  • Icon 168717 Paths need widening to make them safer for the public , to often you see young mothers having to walk on the road
  • Icon 168713 For my bike parking
  • Icon 168710 No footpath on this stretch of very dangerous road. Used to be very popular for a walk but too much traffic now.
  • Icon 168696 In the car parking area behind No's 32-42 Tranton Road there are always empty parking spaces. There is also plenty of space around off the street - please use that area for a few of the loop cycle hangars - i would happily rent 3 or 4 spaces straight away.
  • Icon 168693 More cycle parking required
  • Icon 168692 Cycle parking outside the Job Centre.
  • Icon 168675 Add pavement here - this would actually make Bramley Road a cul-de-sac with access from Glenfield Road - this would make the road along path safer and reduce cut throughs - Please add trees and flower beds
  • Icon 168669 No pavement on a very busy road no zebra crossing - both are very much needed - it is impossible for me to get across the road like a lot of disabled.
  • Icon 168587 Very narrow road, right outside a school entrance. Cars use it as a shortcut to avoid lights at Edward St/Richmond Place.
  • Icon 168586 Reduce speed limit to 30mph from Beggars Lane to Braunstone Cross Roads, cycle lanes are not fit for purpose except when for when standing traffic
  • Icon 168577 Pavement is wide enough however people always park their cars on it, despite the No Parking signs on the wall, meaning pedestrians have to walk along the road. Oddly, bollards have been added to pavements in other (much quieter) areas of this estate but not on North Side between Autumn Drive and Fall Pass where pavement parking occurs regularly each day.
  • Icon 168573 To access this path southbound, cyclists have to wait in the centre of a busy road, on a bend. No refuge. extend path to Anstey or provide safe means of access
